Hashing with Mamarazzi! Life in Spain Spanish countryside

We sat in the bar after a hash at Los Cerricos at the end of May, we chatted about the sports we played and enjoyed at school. Someone said how much they enjoyed netball and how nice it would be to have a match. It was suggested that a tennis court could be modified, as netball is rarely played in Spain. A netball coach was on holiday locally at the end of August, so it was left that something could be organised at that time. The event was arranged for this evening, the coach and netball arrived at the venue, a country house called Cortijo del Centeno,  3 or 4 Kms from Velez Rubio.  It was cloudy and rain threatened, this did mean the temperatures were fortunately reduced. A mixed bunch of 23 persons turned up, this meant 3 teams of 7 players an umpire and the photographer. Differing in age, fitness and ability,  the teams decided by top colour, clearly some teams were stronger. Despite an accident, which meant the photographer had to take over as goal shooter, we all had a great time. We also enjoyed the other facilities available at Cortijo del Centeno, some cooling off in the lovely pool, most enjoying after netball refreshments in spectacular surroundings.
