As the sun set over our last evening in Spain, we prepared for the long journey through Spain and France to our new life in England.
We set off early in the morning with Owen, Rio and Pizca driving along the south east coast heading North passing Valencia and over the Ebro delta by Barcelona.
We crossed into France at La Jonquera, as we stopped for fuel and to let Owen stretch his legs in the Languedoc region, the Mistral wind was blowing.
We drove over the Millau bridge and spent the night in a local hotel.
The next morning we travelled towards Paris by Clermont Ferrand, the periferique, as busy as usual. We arrived at the tunnel where we had to have the pets’ passports scrutinised. Then into Kent, the pets had their first view of green England.
The next day we arrived at our new home in Stourbridge. Owen enjoyed running on frosty grass and chasing squirrels.
We have already had the opportunity to see the Nutcracker ballet at the Hippodrome Birmingham.
