Cold start

We had an early start this morning, a comet Lovejoy is visible at dawn in Western Australia. We were up and out before 7am and found a good vantage point. We parked and set up the tripod and camera overlooking the Mediterranean, the temperature a chilly 4 degrees. Although we captured the image of the dawn, with the waning moon, we sadly failed to see evidence of the comet. The “star” above left of the moon is the planet Mercury.
