Yesterday evening, we enjoyed a cool swim, after daytime temperatures reaching 38°C. We agreed to get up early to prune the lemon tree as it was encroaching over the pool terrace. At 7.30 in the fresh morning, we started to saw and remove the branches, saving any suitable lemons.
A lot of the large branches went straight into the rubbish lorry as fortunately that was collecting at the bins. We cleared the leaves up and swept. I scattered some granules of plant feed at the base and gave the tree a good water. Job done and in for breakfast at 9 am!
