After feeding the birds and walking Owen we decided to go for a ride to the coast, the weather was perfect.
We passed through Huércal Overa turning towards Pulpí, we were diverted onto the old road at times, as the new road was damaged in the September storm.
We arrived at San Juan de Los Terreros. We parked at the beach at Cala Cocedores, there were the ubiquitous motorhomes parked, though the beach was nearly deserted.
After a walk along the sand we moved on to Águilas.
We walked along the promenade, there were a few families enjoying their Sunday on the beach, but generally, it was quiet.
We continued on towards Lorca, after a quick sortie into the supermarket. The road climbs up, it’s dual carriageway, over a pass at 550 metres. We made a detour into the Lorca Golf resort and had our picnic.
