Today, the 8th December, Spain celebrate the immaculate conception, the visit of the angel Gabriel to Mary. There is a fine Church, as seen on the photographs, in Cantoria, but we met for the inaugural hash at the disused railway station.
As we formed a circle with hares in the middle, we were instructed that the runners would follow a flour trail, us less energetic would follow a hare.
We set off following the old railway track, where we eventually arrived at a tunnel. We met cyclists, also taking advantage of the holiday , beautiful weather and scenery along a flat path.
Looking back towards Cantoria.
We then climbed up to the viewing platform or Mirador.
We could see the runners below.
Views over the Almanzora valley.
As we headed down and then into the river bed of the Almanzora, we could see the tunnel and the mirador above.
Back to the town for the usual circle and verdict on the hash, followed by cafe con leche in the sunshine, next to the Church.
