The yellow oxalis daisy, a weed, perhaps a nuisance, however very attractive at the moment. This plant provides a yellow carpet, especially amongst the citrus trees.
The foliage has three leaves (trefoil) and is abundant, likewise the yellow flowers. I noticed in pots a similar cultivated pink flowered version.

We look forward with hope to the future.
We have lived here in this little corner of Spain for ten years now and have many happy memories. As we begin a new year we will start this journal, a taste of our experiences of life in the province of Almería. The photo was taken on Sunday 30th December, a fire in our hearth with wood from the olive tree.
It was lovely to sit near, to hear the crackle of the wood and flames, it kept us warm through the evening.
